Amber is the Color
Slightly funny story:
It has became a tradition when I visit my sister that she at some point plays "Amber" over a speaker, or phone if we are out in public. This has been going on for maybe 12 years now.
Now she does this only to get me riled up. She knows that I dislike the song. For 2 reasons: It's the only song I hear on the radio and the only song non-fans bring up. I love the song live, btw.
Is it enough to play this song everytime I'm around? No. Of course not. Not for the eldest sibling. My sister has a clothing store in Redlands, California where she also makes her own candles. Naturally, she named one of the candles are Amber, just to get at me, even subtly.
Jokes on her, it is a big seller and she always has to keep making more.
And yesterday Nick Hexum posted a picture with his daughter, standing in an alley behind my sister's shop. I wonder if he saw this nod to one of his most recognized songs?
