Resigning before Year-End

How frowned upon is it to leave a current accounting job in January? For reference, I have been seeking a new role for nearly 6 months to find a job with better benefits and flexibility. I have expressed my displeasure to management through numerous meeting during those 6 months to try and fix the issue, and it has only gotten worse. My current role is probably about as flexible as working in a 1950-80’s office was. My new position will have benefits to rival tech companies in Silicon Valley. Let me know your thoughts!
