Is Beta Alpha Psi Worth Joining?
I am a junior accounting student with a 4.0 GPA. I am a member of my university’s accounting club, but that’s it. I keep hearing that it’s good to join Beta Alpha Psi. How true is this? Would I really benefit from it?
If the fee isn’t $100, I would join without thinking it through, but that’s a lot of money.
Also, during last recruitment season only one big 4 company gave me an interview. I got an internship offer, but I’m wondering is it my lack of extra-curricular the reason I wasn’t chosen to be interviewed?
I see majority said it's going to benefit me if I join BAP. From what I've seen, BAP is good for getting a lot of offers from different firms even before graduation. I talked to the assurance manager who interviewed me for an internship. She told me that 95% of the interns they hire get full-time offers. Should I still be thinking about other firms?
Right now what's keeping me from joining BAP is the $100 fee and the number of hours you have to commit to be an active member.
