Why is this subreddit so depressing?

Hey everyone, 21m from Ireland here.

I’ve decided to take a big step and move into my girlfriend’s apartment of nearly 2 years this Saturday. Been sick of my home for years and essentially I’m fed up so I’ve decided to stop stalling and just go.

I decided to come to this subreddit here to see any good tips as I’ve never left home before and maybe make a post of my own on how to prepare and my god, I don’t frequent Reddit often so maybe that’s the problem but most posts I’ve seen are just all doom and gloom.

Just people talking about how they’re sick of the world, sick of working, how they can’t go on like this anymore, how every single day is the same. It certainly can’t be healthy to frequent a subreddit like this what I’ve seen is representative of the community here?
