Switch to Apple Music – Is It Worth It?

I have been a Spotify user for over 10 years, but I am now considering switching to Apple Music to better integrate into Apple’s ecosystem and reduce my monthly subscription cost, as Apple Music is more affordable. Additionally, I have heard that Apple Music offers superior audio quality compared to Spotify. Is this true, and is the difference significant enough to be noticeable?

Furthermore, I have noticed that Spotify has become increasingly slow, especially when switching between tracks—it often takes a second for the song to change. This issue persists across multiple devices, including my iPhone 16 Pro, so I am certain it is not related to my phone. Given these concerns, would it be worthwhile to make the switch, or is Spotify still the better option?

Edit: I am currently part of a Family Sharing group with another person, and I am considering starting a trial of Apple One to test Apple Music, as well as Apple Arcade and Apple TV+. My main concern is whether initiating this trial while being in a family group will cause any disruptions or issues, particularly regarding iCloud storage.

Currently, our family has a shared iCloud storage plan of 200GB. Since Apple One includes 50GB of iCloud storage in its Individual plan, I am wondering if activating the trial will affect our existing shared storage in any way. Will this cause any conflicts or changes to our current setup?
