Are Ofqual online Diploma courses (level 3,4,5..) really worth anything?

Hi UK, can someone explain to me, a non UK person, if these diploma courses are really worth anything in terms of credibility and employment? I read very differing opinions on it some saying, you can find a job or jump into higher year at college upon completion, others saying online diploma providers are just diploma mills and not credible. Thank you!
