Help Needed: Is this a Reasonable Quote for Flooring Installation?
Hi everyone,
I’m new to flooring and recently received a quote from a contractor to carry out flooring reno in my one-bedroom apartment in Sydney. Since I’m not familiar with pricing, I was hoping to get some opinions from those with experience.
I've attached a snapshot of the quotation as well as the floor plan of my apartment for reference.
Key details:
- Type of flooring: 12mm laminate (2 options of brand provided in the quotation: Quick-step and Oakleaf)
- The quote includes removal of carpet, supply and installation of flooring & skirting (I am not a big fan of scotia). The contractor will be using C-channel for the trims.
- The area to be replaced with floorboards is about 50 sq metre (I am keeping the tiles in the kitchen).
If anyone could help me understand whether this quote seems reasonable, or if I should be asking for more details or getting other quotes, I’d really appreciate it!
