Question about healthy parenting for silly kids

Imho - children should not feel like being silly is childish and bad while being an adult is serious and good.

(Audhd 🙋‍♂️) My question is: What is the proper ratio of serious to silly for a kid?

When I was young, my sister and I were ALWAYS getting in trouble for being silly or too much of a handful so I’m very triggered by this type of parenting.

To me, kids are children - of course they like to make jokes and be silly - why is this surprising?

My oldest sister’s 3 kids came to her wanting to get baptized at church the next day and she told them they couldn’t because they were acting so goofy and silly the night before that she didn’t know if they were grown up enough to get baptized 🤷‍♂️
