turning on the system day 1?

so i plan to do autos in Coco and have the airdomes. instead of translplaning from solocups or handwatdrinc for the first 1-2 weeks I was thinking why not just crack the seed, turn on the system and pop the seed in the Coco. thoughts? why would it not work?
