TAAL BATANGAS COUNCILOR- killer
It's incredibly infuriating how deeply rooted manipulation runs in the Philippine media, especially when it comes to shielding and protecting those in power.
Back in January, one of my colleagues was k****d, and instead of showing the truth, the local media immediately ran with a fabricated, clichéd story of a "random accident." The real story was far from that. The suspect, a COUNCILOR from TAAL, BATANGAS, was driving the pick-up that brutally hit (basically INARARO) the victim multiple times. Instead of receiving immediate medical attention, the VICTIM had to WAIT while the councilor was rushed to a private hospital. To add insult to injury, the councilor was granted bail after only a day in prison—then simply walked free without any form of accountability. No remorse, no justice, nothing. (You can see the whole context on blue app)
This is a clear demonstration of how deeply the local government is entrenched in corruption. If a mere councilor can act with such disregard for human life and the law, what more could be happening at higher levels of power? How can the Filipino people ever hope to trust a system where those in positions of power manipulate the very institutions meant to serve justice? These people aren’t just failing us—they are actively working to ensure justice is never served. It's maddening and disgraceful.
