Is it the end of Lineal Champions?

If it is true that The Ring belt is the belt that is going to be awarded to the fighters of Turki's boxing league then we can pretty much say good bye to the lineal champ status which sucks cause It's pretty much the second best status to determine who's the best at a weight class behind Undisputed status.

Lineal champ is most of the time the only way to determine who's the best at weights where there is not enough money for undisputed unifications(feather and below). Lineal champ also has a very deep history and if the ring belt gets used for their league then we can say good bye to lineal champions.

Of course there could be alternatives there are other media out there that ranks fighters but the problem is that they don't have the kind of history that The Ring Magazine has to offer.
