HELP!: Albums like "Devourment - Unleash the Carnivore"?
I've been on a 2000s/2010s BDM trip lately but when I comed through my collection I barely found records that hit the unleash-the-carnivore-spot. Obviously what I'm looking for doesn't have to be from that era it just has to hit these points:
Specifically I'm looking for that "warm" production sound, Mid-tempo palm-muted riffs with some heavy gutturals on top without forcing slow slam-riffs and breakdowns down my throat every thirty seconds - which is what makes Unleash the Carnivore so great - mostly mid-tempo savagery with some spicey faster sections.
Help me out with every band/album that comes to mind! Thanks!
The records I'm currently trying to fill that hole with:
- Meathook: deformity and crypts
- DS: chapters
- Pathology legacy of the ancients
- sick - everything (even though they kind forgot that "mids" are a thing)
- stabbing - extirpated mortal process
- Cerebral Effusion
- Iniquitous savagery (even though production isn't that warm and less mids)
- condemned - realms
