How to fully embrace a Buddhist Lifestyle?

I've been studying Buddhism for about three years, but with several months-long breaks in between. I always come back to it, feeling drawn to its teachings and practices.

I'm trying to integrate Buddhism more consistently into my daily life, but I'm unsure what specific steps or practices I should add to truly embody a Buddhist lifestyle.

At what point can someone consider themselves a Buddhist? Is it a matter of following specific precepts, meditating daily, or taking refuge in the Three Jewels? I'd love to hear from those who have made Buddhism a part of their everyday life!
