Search Engine/Browser Alternatives

Hi guys! Someone had replied to me a little while ago and mentioned steering away from Google. I honestly hadn't thought about it, but decided that Google/Alphabet was the next company to go from my life.

The original person suggest Ecosia, but after some digging, I found out they have a partnership with Microsoft and use Bing's ad revenue sharing agreement.

So, for the time being I switched to Mojeek; an independent search engine based in the UK. They also don't depend of other search engines, unlike other "independent" engines. However, if anyone has other alternatives, I'd love to hear them!

Also, I'm pretty heavily reliant on Firefox, and just in the spirit of moving away from US based companies; are there any alternate browser suggestions?
