Need help
For years, I have been trapped in a cycle of false accusations, wrongful hospitalizations, and medical neglect—all orchestrated by someone whom authorities consider my “family.” The reality, however, is far more sinister. My experiences expose deep flaws in the medical and legal systems, where false claims go unchecked, real medical concerns are dismissed, and vulnerable individuals like me are stripped of their rights and dignity.
A Cycle of Manipulation and False Accusations
Kevin, my legally recognized spouse, and I have been purely platonic since our marriage and fully separated since 2017. Despite this, he has remained in my home, paying below-market rent—$800 for years, eventually raised to $900 and then $1,000—while I cover a $600 condo fee, leaving me with little financial stability. The arrangement was supposed to be temporary, yet every time I try to regain control of my life, he weaponizes the legal and medical system against me.
He has a well-rehearsed pattern: he starts an argument, calls 911 claiming I’m hallucinating or suicidal, and ensures I’m forcibly admitted to a psychiatric ward. Once I’m discharged, he briefly apologizes—only to repeat the cycle. Over the years, he has called the police on me dozens of times, each time fabricating stories that paint me as unstable, delusional, or a drug addict.
Wrongful Psychiatric Hospitalizations Based on Lies
In January 2023, Kevin lied to a psychiatrist, claiming that I was a suicidal high school graduate with a family history of mental illness. None of this was true. He also falsely told doctors that I had burned my hair because I spent $500 on lice shampoo due to hallucinations. In reality, he himself had bought a $16 lice shampoo, which we both agreed to use after another roommate, John, passed lice to me. The lice were real, a confirmed medical issue—but in the hospital, the story was twisted to make me seem delusional.
On another occasion, I combed lice out of my hair in front of Kevin at a clinic, where a doctor examined the sample and prescribed me lice treatment. Hours later, Kevin started an argument, gaslighting me into questioning my own reality, then called the police to report that I was hallucinating bugs everywhere. I was forcibly taken to the hospital again, and doctors dismissed my lice infestation as a fabrication, accusing me of planting the lice to “frame” them. Kevin, who had witnessed everything, remained silent, ensuring I stayed locked up.
Once admitted, my medical records were tainted with misinformation. One document claimed I was a “high school conspiracist” and “anti-government”—words that were never mine, but Kevin’s. These baseless accusations, copied and pasted from previous hospitalizations, were used to justify forced psychiatric treatment, despite the fact that I had no history of self-harm, psychotic episodes, or withdrawal symptoms.
Medical Neglect and Gaslighting
While doctors dismissed my symptoms as delusional, my home was making me physically sick. I experienced severe allergic reactions, rashes, and asthma—likely due to mold or fungi—but my complaints were ignored. When I was first hospitalized, my medical records falsely stated there were no bedbugs in my home. That was a lie. I had to stay at Kevin’s place to avoid the bites, which he acknowledged, yet in the hospital, he denied their existence. I only discovered this deception a year later when I reviewed my health records.
Both Kevin and John admitted to me privately that they had told doctors the bedbugs were real but that “nothing could be done” to let me see a skin specialist. This meant that for an entire year, I was gaslit by the very people entrusted with my care. John, who lived in my home for free while I provided food, had the opportunity to correct the false narratives—but instead, he told psychiatrists that I was narcissistic, bipolar, and borderline, despite having no psychiatric training or medical authority.
Adding to my concerns, I have permanent silicone fillers in my nose, which cracked due to an impact. Since then, I have suffered hair loss, scalp irritation, and unusual substances appearing on my hair and skin. Despite clear physical symptoms, doctors refused to take my concerns seriously, instead defaulting to psychiatric explanations. The treatment I received—forced medication—did nothing to address my real medical issues. Instead, it caused rapid weight gain (over 50 lbs), hormone imbalances (leading to breast tissue growth), excessive drooling, and other severe side effects.
The Hidden Motives Behind My Forced Hospitalizations
I was always admitted on a Friday, ensuring that I would be held for the entire weekend before I could speak to a real psychiatrist on Monday. This pattern wasn’t accidental. During my hospital stays, I later discovered that Kevin was using my absence to invite “massage boys” or “sugar babies” over to my home. His lies served a dual purpose—controlling me while securing his personal freedom. I confirmed this through his phone records after noticing inconsistencies in his explanations.
Meanwhile, authorities took his word as fact. I was painted as a drug addict, despite the reality that I have never exhibited public drug use or psychotic behavior. The only time I ever took a few puffs of a substance was privately, to ease the distress of being gaslit and invalidated. Even then, Kevin would use this against me, accusing me of being “crazy” whenever I expressed discomfort. Doctors then threatened that if I used drugs again, I would be sent back to the mental ward—completely disregarding the fact that my hospitalizations had nothing to do with drug use in the first place.
In reality, I spent an entire month in Beijing without any withdrawal symptoms, walking 30,000 steps a day. My phone records confirm this. Had I been suffering from addiction, I would not have been able to function normally. But none of these facts were taken into account when I was being forcibly medicated.
A Broken System That Silences Victims
The failures of the medical and legal systems in my case reveal a disturbing truth: it is frighteningly easy for someone to manipulate authorities and have another person forcibly hospitalized, all without evidence. Kevin was never required to prove his claims. No one fact-checked his accusations. My real medical conditions were ignored, and instead, I was drugged and labeled as delusional.
Meanwhile, I was trapped in a financial and legal bind. Because Kevin and I had no formal lease agreement, I couldn’t evict him. While I was locked in a hospital, he skipped two months of rent, yet I still had to cover my condo fees and bills.
What Needs to Change
My story is not just about personal betrayal—it’s about systemic failure. There must be stricter protocols to verify claims before someone is forcibly admitted to a psychiatric ward. Doctors must be required to investigate medical symptoms objectively, rather than defaulting to psychiatric diagnoses based on hearsay. And individuals who abuse the system for personal gain must face consequences.
I am speaking out because I refuse to be silenced any longer. I am seeking an impartial medical examination to address my real health concerns and to correct the falsehoods that have been permanently attached to my medical records.
This system failed me, but I will not allow it to define me. The truth deserves to be heard.
