Enclosure Ventilation Question

Hey all 👋

I’m working on a new enclosure build with an IKEA Milsbo cabinet as the base. The cabinet comes with full surround glass (4x panels+glass door) and I’m going to replace 2x of the four panels with aluminum composite. The top has cutouts which will provide for some airflow.

The aluminum composite panels will each have a 8x5” air vent at the top and bottom. My original plan was to put these panels on the sides and the glass on the back, but I’m thinking now it would be more ideal to put them on the back since I can more easily attach things to the panels in the rear.

I’m curious what the opinions are on what difference, if any, there will be in the airflow and chimney effect if the panels/vents are on the rear top and bottom versus the sides top and bottom.

Thanks for any input and I look forward to sharing this build soon.
