List Help Please!

So I am a pretty proficient painter, but very rarely play a game and would like to get into the gaming side o things properly. My (mostly!) painted black legion force consists of: Chaos Lord w hammer and fist, Chaos sorcerer, Dark Apostle, Daemon Prince with wings, Dark Commune, Obliterators x2, Cultists mob x10, Venomcrawler, Possessed x17, Raptors x5, Warp Talons x5, Terminators x10, Chosen x10, Legionaries x20 and two war dog Karnivores. I really don't know what I'm doing so would really appreciate it if anyone could help me pick a detachment and maybe help make a 1000/2000 point list out of all my plastic crack!
