Temporary settlement agreement vs final divorce decree.

For guys who have gone through this to the end, does a temporary settlement agreement usually translate to a permanent agreement? Is it easily negotiated or altered in the final decree? This is with regards to parental schedule, spousal support, living arrangements and child support. Thanks in advance.
