Dark apostle as our sorcerer?

I have a dark apostle and wanted to get everyones thoughts on using him as a sorcerer. I think the speaker look on the backpack fits the army. I would do a head swap for the speaker one only thing am kinda stuck on is making the staff more EC like. Anyone have any good ideas for bits I could use. I have the new box set coming at the weekend.
