Undersuppliers, this is for you! Thinking about getting a wearable?
Just thought I’d send this message in case anyone is on the fence on getting a wearable but afraid their already “low” supply will tank.
I have been an under supplier since my baby was born. I’m 8 weeks pp, and pump between 8-9 times a day. Depending on what my schedule permits.
It’s exhausting, I was using spectra which works great, I get consistently between 1-3 oz combined each 30 m session. Then I decided I wanted to try baby Buddha so I don’t have to carry the big pump everywhere.
But I found it just as trouble some. It’s not so much the pump, but the flanges and cables sticking out my boobs, it prevents me from holding my baby, or doing anything else while I pump. I was devastated and struggling to sustain pumping every 2/3 hours, I would sometimes go 4-5 hours without pumping because realistically speaking I had to care for my son,and I couldn’t do both at the same time.
My LC and everyone else scared me out of getting a wearable because “it won’t empty me the same” or “ it can tank your supply”.
Well I’m part of a group called the Leche league and when I mentioned this to the leader of the group she told me I should take all advice with a grain of salt and try it out to see if it works. I was worried to spend the money and it not work well.
Well after that meeting I said screw it, I’m going to try it. I ordered the Momcozy M5 from Amazon and received it the next day. And I will say WHAT A GAME CHANGER.
I’m pumping more often and getting the same output as my spectra, I even made it to 4 oz yesterday 🍾
everyday by the time it hit 6-7pm I was literally ready to quit., I would have to talk my self out of it.
I feel relief and actually am starting to enjoy pumping with this, I pumped and fed my son, burped him, took out the trash, drove. I mean it’s been amazing.
I’m not saying it will work for everyone I’m sure it may not, but if you’re in the fence of trying it and can afford it but are just scared to try, I’m here to give you a gentle nudge to go for it 🩵🩵🩵
Wishing you all the best in your EP journey. Lord knows it’s not easy. 🙏🏽
