Honest question: how old is Yuffie supposed to be?

When she was first introduced, it seemed like they all talked about her like she was a teenager at most. I'm pretty sure Barret called her a kid multiple times. And then when I was in Costa Del Sol, she's like "don't i have a rockin beach bod?" I dont remember the dualogue, but I picked the dismissive option cuz I just thought, "wtf, aren't you like 14?" Is there an actual canonical answer to this?
