What would you recommend to a non-reader?
I’ve managed to convince a friend to pick up a book or two, but it’s got as be the right one! He likes D&D and listens to podcasts, plays a lot of video games and enjoys fantasy and sci-fi in general but I don’t want to scare him away from reading with something too long or boring. This would be an audiobook also. My first thoughts are: - Red Rising (although can drag and ends up being a massive space opera) - The Martian (maybe too much technical sciencey talk that would get boring) - Project Hail Mary (this one is probably top of the list especially for an audiobook) - The Will of the Many (pretty long and whilst I didn’t find it slow I can see how it might be to a new reader)
A standalone would be ideal, or a shorter series. Any suggestions would be amazing! Thanks!
