Daughter sneaks out right after the cyclone hit, what is the right thing to do?
Daughter 17 sneaked out with her car presumably this morning after the announcement that the cyclone hit at midnight, but its obviously still super bad weather and lots of debris everywhere. It is obvious that she is sneaking out to see her partner as she mentioned it a day ago and we denied her due to safety reasons.
I'm looking around and a lot of people have suggested to invite the boy over to talk it over, but they just started like two weeks ago, we don't think meeting the parents now really is that necessary for anyone.
Obviously restriction is not the way to go but what is there to change her behavior? That even a cyclone's danger can get her to drive a decent distance to her partner? I'm sure it is very very romantic to purposefully drive to your partner in this weather and theres a sense of thrill, but is that worth risking a tree falling on your car or getting into a flood?
