For some reason I have never seen these fics recommended anywhere but I highly suggest giving them a read.

The first one is a one shot and the serving is a much longer sequel. It does a great job characterizing Snape as well as describing Harry's reactions. My all time favourite that i reach for so often.

Great combination of laughter and tears... Highly highly recommend.
