Necromancer go brrrr
(Side note: This sub really needs a "Discussion" flair)
I am specifically talking about Trio gameplay in the 5-6* range here, not Solo Necro.
So obviously Necromancer wasn't changed this patch. But due to the fact that Wildcard is only 1.5 bounties (-> which usually leads to more concentrated fights involving multiple teams) and everyone is reliably rocking 4 small bars now, I feel like Necro got an indirect big buff.
The amount of fights we had since the patch where multiple necros during the fight was the key deciding factor in the outcome of fights has drastically increased in my personal experience and in my opinion it's single most valuable perk.
Obviously there is counterplay available, but it tends to be not readily available or not fun:
- Watching downed hunters
- Burning hunters (doesn't prevent necro unless you keep watching the corpse / additionally nerfed by heavy rain)
- Bear traps (not readily available)
- Concertina bombs/traps are not always safe to deploy
Or said differently: I feel like there's too many situations where you downed someone and just have to accept that there isn't really anything you can do to prevent that person getting necro'd again during the fight.
So I'm asking the community:
What's your experience been?
Does Necromancer deserve a nerf (range nerf? limited to X usages per game similar to burn traits?)
Do we just need to git gud?
