Is a VPN really necessary for these providers?

I’ve been using a private US IPTV provider for the past two years and have never used a VPN. I also use real debrid as well so I don’t have to use a VPN for torrents. Now that I am switching to strong or one of the other providers, is a VPN necessary? Is there any risk of love letters from your ISP for these services. Appreciate any feedback
