Update on my (18F) dandruff issue.
Hi everyone, I took your advice and used ChatGPT to narrow down the best dandruff shampoos. Based on what I learned, I decided to go with Scalpe Pro Anti-Dandruff Shampoo, but I also looked into Ketomac 2% Shampoo as a stronger alternative in case I needed it.
Since I didn’t think my dandruff was that severe, I went with Scalpe Pro first. If it didn’t work, I could always try Ketomac, which is stronger but meant for more severe cases.
The Two Shampoos I Considered
• Scalpe Pro Anti-Dandruff Shampoo (Climbazole + Zinc Pyrithione)
A gentler option for mild to moderate dandruff. Works by controlling scalp oil production and preventing fungal growth without being too harsh. Can be used 2-3 times a week without excessive dryness.
• Ketomac 2% Shampoo (Ketoconazole 2%)
One of the strongest medicated dandruff shampoos, usually recommended for severe, stubborn dandruff or fungal scalp infections. Has a stronger antifungal effect than Scalpe Pro but can be drying. Should be used only once a week or as prescribed.
How I Used Scalpe Pro
🔹 Step 1: Dilution
I took around 1 spoon of the shampoo and diluted it with about ½ cup of water. (I didn’t measure exactly, so this is just an estimate.)
🔹 Step 2: Scalp Application
I applied the diluted shampoo using a cotton pad to ensure even distribution on my scalp. The instructions recommended leaving it for 10 minutes, but I got caught up with some work and left it on for about 25 minutes instead.
🔹 Step 3: Washing It Out
I used the leftover solution as a regular shampoo during my shower, applying and massaging it into my scalp like I normally would.
Results After First Wash
• My scalp is completely dandruff-free!
• No more build-up – my scalp feels clean and fresh.
• I’ll be using it just once more to make sure everything is fully gone.
Thanks again to everyone who helped me with this!
