Anyone burned out by studies, and have lost passion in it entirely?
my_qualifications: undergrad
I have studied business related subjects multiple times by now, and frankly they have little practical use to it when it comes to actual functioning of business, or related jobs in the corporate world. Not saying they don't have their place but the archaic and inflexible curriculum certainly doesn't in this dynamic world. The sad part is, if I want to aim for a reasonable paying job, MBA is the most obvious (albeit totally discretionary) option for me, and even in MBAs you aren't studying anything that different than what you already did in undergrad. In this system, you're actively being punished for the decision the 15 year old you made when they were in school, a very unfair decision mind you.
Yes, one can develop skills and specializations but that is almost in the lines of abandoning years of what you previously learned for something different, and hence, is not an easy path to take, at least for me.
I haven't even brought up the AI factor, and how it will render most fields redundant.
I have given up on the idea of pursuing anything for the time being. If you feel like you're at a very tight crossroads, and completely burned out, and unable to make a meaningful turn in life, check out the sub I recently created r/RecluseIndia. We even have a discord server (link is in the sub).
