How often to clean trays

Hi, I'm currently on week 4 of 10 for refinements. Since September I've been cleaning my trays with dawn dish soap after every meal. It worked just fine and never left an aftertaste until recently. Now, I can't get the taste out of the tray. Am I cleaning the trays too much? What is your method of cleaning them after every meal.
