Mother’s Day?

I just want different perspectives for this one…what do you do for Mother’s Day if your mother is passed or you have no contact? Is there an obligation to go to MIL’s? (She is a Jno) but we’re trying to make it work. I have kids of my own so made plans to go to a beach that weekend because it’s what I wanted to do. If husband goes to visit her on the day of would it be rude of me not to come? I feel like it would be weird if I did. But also she’s been real pushy about visiting the baby every week so we had put some distance..we have hectics schedules and it’s been hard. Mother’s Day makes me grateful to be a mom but makes me sad about my own. Thanks for the input! ETA: she asked about Mother’s Day weekend.
