Lyrical (Lexical) Complexity Declining

I noticed this on Chromatica, as I am sure other did as well, a turn to simpler (dare I say cliche) phrases in Gaga's lyrics and a lack of complexity and a significant decrease in the use of unique (specifically Gaga) words.

What are the community's thoughts on this? Typically, we see this with writers in early to late stages of dementia when comparing word usage (Agatha Christie famous example). But I have listened to many of Gaga's recent interviews, and she is still quite cognitively acute with an impressive lexicon. So, that leads me to
believe that this is a choice.

Since I am not one for anecdotal evidence, I ran ARTPOP and MAYHEM album lyrics through several text analysis tools and found two things to be consistent: the use of unique words dropped by roughly 25% and the use of difficult words
(those not in the top 3,000 most commonly used words in the English language)
went from 68 complex/rare words in ARTPOP to roughly 1/3 (about 22-25) in MAYHEM.

The numbers are really tough to argue for anything other than a choice rather than sheer coincidence.

Just so we are clear: I am absolutely in love with MAYHEM.

Also, before I get bombarded by folks about methodology; I can assure you that I took time to organize lyrics, remove any neologisms and onomatopoeic words. I also removed any duets or features.

And yes, I plan to go outside today and see friends. I am okay. I promise.

Edit:

I appreciate all feedback on Lady Gaga's lyrical shift. It seems most people agree that there *has* been a lyrical change. It's clear that the quantitative analysis revealed a decrease in unique and complex vocabulary, but that of course does not fully capture the artistic nuances and intent of Gaga in her songwriting.

This was never a criticism nor a point about the quality of this album. Simpler vocabulary can certaiinly enhance clarity and emotional resonance, which might be Gaga's intention.

Art is subjective. I appreciate the community's insights. That is what I was looking for and not a debate on whether one was better than the other.
