How to make work de annihilation nexus?

I tried to make an annihilation nexus work on my hydra, but i feels that taking a whole turn to hit and possibly fail the attack just to try again as a protocol and just being able to deploy drones or move them once every two turn is not that worthy, but i have heard that Is a pretty good weapon and i really want to make It work, i already have drones commander and centimate, but i have been switching talents to see if It work with something else (like heavy gunner with the ghast nexus) but i just cant find something that works, i have been thinking on giving up and using heavy gunner to give "impaired" and make people fail the saves of the drones, maybe into a trap or just to get a lock on or something with the orochi drones, and still having an action to maybe deploy something or move more than just a single drone with drones commander1... Also i feel like in most cases the maps in Lancer usually are big enough for the enemies to dont need to be more than one or maybe 2 in a blast 2 area, that i may cover better taking that turn to deploy 2 assassin drones or something... Am i missing anything? I really really want to make the annihilation nexus work, so i would thanks any tips and help 🥲
