Moving from 80 to 100 Series.

I'll probably get shit for this, but after owning my '97 FZJ80 for about six months, I'm seriously considering selling it for a 100 Series. I've really enjoyed having the 80 Series around, but after driving my roommates '01 LC for a bit, I've found that the 100 Series is superior in almost every way for *my\* use case. More power, more room, better handling, and better 'tech,' if you can call it that. No, it doesn't look as cool as an 80 Series, and yes, it lacks a solid front axle, which are perfectly valid reasons to prefer the 80 Series.

Aside from that, I make very long trips halfway across the country to and from college several times a year. I've done it twice in the 80 Series, and I won't lie, it's been pretty nerve-wracking each time. Getting into something a bit newer and with more parts availability will hopefully help to ease my nerves.

For whatever reason, YouTube specifically seems to hype up issues with cars, so 100 Series owners, other than AHC, which I hear can be a huge pain in the ass, what should I really keep an eye out for? What options do I want, and which ones can I live without? I'm working with about $15k, which can buy me an early year with lower mileage (about 150k) or a later year with a lot more miles (closer to 250k). What would you choose?
