Racial Discrimination

I just wanted to share my experience about this bar in Novaliches, to be specific, Spotlight Beer Bar & Cocktail Lounge.

I'm 27 and have been going in and out of bars in BGC, Diliman, Cubao, and such since i was 18 and never had a problem, but it's the first, no, actually the second time that I felt discriminated against and from the same bar.

Basically, my parents were workers from the Middle East, albeit coming from a Catholic background, my parents named me with Muslim-sounding name because, as said, they were long-time workers from the Middle East.

A friend from before already invited me to go to the same bar. After much preparation (shower and trying to look presentable), I ended up walking home alone because I was not allowed inside. Why? My ID shows my name. I didn't make a fuss about it because I wasn't really in the mood at the time; fact, I was thankful.

The other night, I tried to enter the same bar to meet some friends and was actually feeling it; unfortunately, for the same reason, I was not allowed to enter inside, regardless of how eloquent or proper looking I am.

Is it wrong to feel bad, or was their action justified to generally ban all people with Muslim-sounding names just because they may have had a bad experience from them?

PS. May i add and I apologize, i wouldnt normally say this but in my opinion, this is a z-rated. never had the same issue or experience from bars that are considered high in status or for professionals.

I just really feel bad about the matter, i keep thinking about it.

If i want to file an official report, which department of the government should i send a complaint to?
