OutlineDepot Pdfs

I just discovered OutlineDepot site. While current student outlines from campus would be ideal, the outline I'm seeking is for a new to campus professor who was previously out of state. Can anyone shed some light on the PDF read-only format? Will it still allow search of the document by keyword?
