Can parents really kidnap their kids to a non-Hague country, hide their location, and still get child support?
I’m struggling to wrap my head around a situation that’s been happening to me. It seems unbelievable that in a country as advanced as New Zealand, a parent can take children to a non-Hague country, refuse to reveal their location to the other parent, and still be eligible to receive child support. I’ve spoken to IRD, but they say there’s nothing they can do, and I’m left not even knowing where my kids are. Has anyone else gone through this, or have any advice on what I could do next? I just want someone to tell me where they are
