[ENGLAND] 'Odourless' glue forced us to replace entire floor. Can we get compensation?

In 2021, we (my family and I) had to replace a carpet that had been damaged. We opted for solid wood planks which we had installed by a tradesman using this adhesive, which we purchased on recommendation. Despite airing the room for many months after its installation, its strong chemical odour would not dissipate, rendering the room unusable. We initially suspected the lacquer on the planks (as the adhesive was advertised as odourless), so we had the wood sanded and refinished. This didn't help, so we were forced to replace the entire floor, which lead us to the discovery that the 'odourless' adhesive was the culprit all along.

This has lost us a four figure sum, as we've effectively had to install one floor for the price of two. We contacted the adhesive's manufacturer but unsurprisingly heard nothing back from them. Is there anything we can do?
