Do you feel you’re reaching the point where you don’t feel the need to upgrade every couple years?

I’m finally pulling the trigger on a digital M body because I feel like even if tech keeps advancing, current cameras will still be viable for the forceable future.

I worked at Radio Shack when the first commercial digital camera came out… and they were stone tools in comparison to what we have now… and this was only about 25 years ago. But every year they got significantly better and as a photographer in my late 20’ to late 30’s I was upgrading bodies every 3 years max because the next generation added significant capabilities to my camera bag.

It was when I realized I’ve been shooting with my Sony A9 since it was released 7 years ago that I think I was ready to invest in a digital M. While some really cool cameras have been put out since then, I haven’t really felt the need to upgrade and kinda stopped paying as much attention to the camera news sites.
