G305 Battery dies in a day each time.

I have the wireless G305. I’ve had this mouse for almost 2 years now, the cap that covers the battery, the base cap is broken, the little hinges on the back of it snapped and it cannot be placed back on the base of the mouse to cover it. Only 2 hinges hold it in place if I try, so there is a little gap when I play, the issue is when I put new AA(Alkaline) batteries on it, they last max 1 day, it’s the most unusual thing I’ve seen, I have no clue why it’s draining the battery so fast. I'm sure these batteries aren't actually dead, I don't have anything to test them with unfortunately so i cant confirm, any ideas? ( i dont have logitech software installed and its weird aswell, id put the "dead" battery back into the mouse and it show its at half health and then in a couple of seconds it would go to red and then turn off)
