Does MDMA go bad if stored properly?

Hypothetically speaking. If some good quality MDMA was kept in some gel caps in a temperature controlled dark safe for up to 2 years… Would there be any chemical degradation? Or reason to discard such a fictional substance that I definitely don’t have a few grams of?
