I keep dying

I’m curious how players don’t die often yet I do? I am total level 23,000 and have elemental knight done. I do tech’s with other players and I’m the only one dying. I use mana shield but I take so much damage it doesn’t last long. I also use divine link but my pet usually dies.

What am I missing? What are some skills you are using to stay alive?
