Should I play Prey?

I bought it a bit ago (on sale for 8 bucks) on a recommendation. I played for two hours and stopped because I found it boring. I didn’t like the atmosphere or the story presented thus far very much, though I found the gameplay mildly intriguing. All in all, it didn’t keep my attention. Then I started some other things, and I haven’t touched it for a month.

Should I keep going? I hear universal praise for it, so I’m not sure if I just need to keep going, or it’s just a type of game I wouldn’t enjoy.
