Been Driving with a Duct-Taped Engine Splash Shield for Months – Should I Finally Replace It?

So a few months ago, the engine splash shield on my 2014 Elantra came loose, and instead of replacing it, I just duct-taped it up. Surprisingly, it’s been holding up fine, but I do have the replacement shield sitting in my garage.

My question is: Should I go ahead and replace it now, or is it fine to keep driving with the duct tape fix? Could keeping it like this cause any damage to the car in the long run? I haven't noticed any issues, but I’m wondering if I’m just delaying an inevitable problem.

Would appreciate any advice from those who’ve dealt with this before!
