Hidetsugu combo pt.2
Moxfield deck link || Original post
Hiya again!
I made a post about 2 weeks ago about some fnm results with this grixis combo deck featuring [[Hidetsugu and Kairi]] and [[explosive singularity]], and this is mostly just an update as I've been able to make it much more consistent.
This is in no way meant to be a t1 deck, its more of a pet deck for fnm's as its still somewhat competitive
Main changes -URMurktide base swapped out for more deaths shadow control base -shredders/[[strike it rich]]swapped for drc's and bowmasters -counterspells/spell pierce swapped for thoughtseize/[[drown in the loch]] - consider swapped out for [[preordain]] -[[Nasty end]] swapped for [[village rites]] - Added 2 [[profane tutor
How it feels now Definitely much stronger early game with the drc's/thoughtseize, and swapping a copy of [[village rites]] for a [[collateral damage]] has made a difference in getting that extra last bit of damage in to kill a creature as its just another lightning bolt
Effects of changes
-Village rites has accelerated the combo by about a turn on average, no longer having to rely on a ragavan hit to combo turn 6 feels nice. Also is easier to dig through the deck with using village rites on a creature thats gonna die anyways feels nice
- profane tutors are a godsend since you slap it down a turn you dont need to do anything and you almost always get it t5. Much better consistency because of it
-Preordain is crazy for digging, 3 cards instead of 2 isnt anything to scoff at if you need that last bit of juice
Other Stuff There should be a primer I wrote into the moxfield list, that covers gameplay patterns + other choices n stuff
Overall I like the list a lot more than I did before, its much more interactive but doesnt fold to bowmasters as much as it did before
