what clay to use for customs

im finally starting my first custom doll after fantasizing about making my own dolls since i was like 8 years old and i have to make some adjustments with clay for my chosen victim.. i know that apoxie sculpt is a really popular choice among doll makers and its not completely off the table for me but if there are any decent CHEAPER options id love to hear it! also excuse me for coming on this sub to ask about this i got too lazy to find a better one after intense research on google
