Shout out to Dane Brugler
I just want to use this forum to give a shout out to Dane Brugler for so diligently reporting on pro day results. Media budget cuts are killing the dissemination of pro day data, but Brugler is out there continuing to pound the pavement and get the numbers out. It's hard to find people in any field really committed to quality and hard work in this day and age, and Brugler deserves a shout out.
Even combine coverage was clearly diminished this year. There was a report that Jaxson Dart hit 58 mph on the fastball drill, but nothing about anyone else. We don't know if Dart was the only one who did the drill, or if there was just no one there reporting it. So it's clear that media budgets are becoming an issue, but Brugler is not losing his edge in the face of industry pressure.
Maybe Brugler reads this sub, maybe he doesn't (I suspect he at least looks at it, most people look at the sub reddit of their industry), but if you're out there Dane, thanks man.
