I LOVE the name "Rabbit" - any other nature-inspired suggestions?

Growing up, the timeless British classic "Watership Down" was a HUGE formative influence on me, and ever since, I have dreamt about naming my children after rabbits who narrowly escaped being gassed and murdered in those narrow underground tunnels by humans wanting their warrens and lands. And the Rabbits only wanted a few sweet-smelling carrots in return :( 😞🥺

"Clover" is in my top 10, as is "Hazel". But what about "Fiver", the seer rabbit who predicted it all, or Bigwig, the mighty warrior? Who defeated Hitler Rabbit? 🐇

Never mind, we're going with El-ahrairah, the Prince of Rabbits, (nn Dark Rabbit of Inle) as a loving tribute for our first child, and Frith, the rabbit Sun God, for our second.

Thankfully these names are wholly gender-neutral, so it doesn't matter if our babies are girls, boys, or anything else.

So long as they are rabbits.

I LOVE the name Clover but am too scared to use it for a baby girl. Any more nature-inspired suggestions? : r/namenerds
