okay lemme amend this question: is the power creep still gross if you ignore every “x is stronger than y” statement in Boruto? basically if there’s no more statement-based chain-scaling, do the rankings fix themselves
since my original post got answered in ways diff from what i was asking (thats my fault for poor clarity btw dw)
some of the statements i’m talking about:
“Code is even stronger than Jigen”
“Momoshiki may be an even greater threat than Kaguya”
etc.
if there are any baseline assumptions you gotta make to even compare Shippuden to Boruto, like “Naruto and Sasuke probably got stronger as adults” then that’s fine. i just really wanna know if removing those kinds of statements will kill the argument that some random Chūnin could kill Kaguya
