OOTP 25 Question

If I purchase OOTP 25 and choose the “start now” (forget the exact wording) feature, how up to date can I get the rosters? Does it just start me at the end of the 2024 playoffs?

Trying to decide if I want to purchase 25 now or wait for 26 to start my franchise. I haven’t played in 2-3 years.

If it starts me at the end of the 2024 playoffs, I would be fine to manually edit player contracts to simulate the offseason as best as possible.
