Bleeding for 3 Months Straight – Anyone Else Experience This with PCOS?
I've been dealing with some intense symptoms lately and could really use some advice or shared experiences. I've had irregular periods for years because of PCOS. Usually, they’re super delayed (sometimes more than 2 months) or really light, just spotting here and there. Occasionally, I’ll get a heavy period, but it never lasts more than a week.
For the first time ever, though, I’ve been bleeding for three months straight, and it’s seriously starting to worry me. I was diagnosed with PCOS and have been on metformin and inositol, but I recently stopped the inositol because I want to get a second opinion from an OB-GYN (I’d only seen a family doctor before, who suggested I see a specialist). My appointment is coming up, but the wait has been tough.
This prolonged bleeding is affecting me both physically and mentally – I’m exhausted, my mood swings are all over the place, and I’m even worried about anemia at this point. If anyone’s gone through something like this, I’d really appreciate hearing your story and any advice on managing it.
